Cam Turner


Principal
Cam is a founding member of UFA and co-heads all management and investment activities of UFA and its affiliates. Cam develops investment strategies, raises investment capital and structures investments and loans. He has participated in the closing of transactions with a combined total project cost of over $1.4 billion. Cam serves as managing director for the Portland Small Business Loan Fund, which provides short- and long-term real estate and business financing for micro-enterprises and small businesses.


Cam has 13 years experience in real estate and corporate transactions, including private equity, structured finance, tax credit syndication, and business formation. Prior to joining UFA, he was an attorney with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, P.C., focusing on securities and mergers and acquisitions.


Cam's current and past board service includes the New Markets Tax Credit Coalition, Council of Development Finance Agencies, Pedagogy Institute, Portland Children's Museum, Portland Family of Funds, the Portland State University Business Outreach Program, and the Portland Plan Advisory Committee.


Cam is a frequent speaker on tax credit and tax-advantaged financing, green buildings and community impacts, with recent presentations at conferences hosted by Novogradac & Company, the Council of Development Finance Agencies, the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association and the New York City Economic Development Corporation.


Cam enjoys telemark skiing, rock climbing, running, and playing with his sons in his free time.
