Colin Rowan

Principal
Colin is a founding member of UFA and co-heads all management and investment activities of UFA and its affiliates. Colin develops investment strategies, raises investment capital and structures investments and loans. He has participated in the closing of transactions with a combined total project cost of over $1.4 billion. Colin has managed a variety of projects with unique and challenging attributes, including The Gerding Theater at the Armory (LEED Platinum theater and community hub in Portland, OR); Community Medical Center (ambulatory care facility in Fresno, CA); and Vanport Square (LEED Silver-designed commercial condominiums targeted for small-to-medium sized local business ownership in Portland, OR). He has also provided extensive technical assistance to non-profit groups and small local developers.

Colin has over 13 years experience in investment banking, private equity, business development and product marketing. He was formerly Vice President with Doyle & Boissiere LLC, a $100 million private equity fund. He was also an investment banker with Alex. Brown & Sons and Senior Product Manager for Guidant Corporation, a leading global medical device manufacturer.

Colin serves on the board of Portland Family of Funds and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He spends his free time outside of work exploring Portland and Oregon with his wife, two children and their dog.
