Neal Sacon

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Neal is the senior executive in-charge of financial, accounting and compliance operations, as well as day-to-day operations.  Neal oversees the development and implementation of asset and risk management policies, financial statement and cash management, audit and tax return preparation, and analysis of investment structures. 

Prior to joining UFA, Neal provided advisory and tax compliance services to Fortune 500 companies and tax credit syndicators in connection with $750 million of tax-credit derived equity investment at Deloitte. Neal has over 21 years’ experience in law and finance, including financial operation and reporting requirements of investment structures and joint ventures, tax credit syndication, and pre- and post-acquisition investment due diligence. 

Neal was the first President of the Portland Community Land Trust and currently serves as an advisory board member. He also serves as chief of his community’s volunteer fire department, field coordinator for Wind River Search & Rescue, and staff member with the Skamania County Department of Emergency Management.
