Communications Manager
Steve oversees the marketing and communications functions of the firm. He is responsible for strategy, web/print marketing, public relations and media, corporate communications, events and conferences, and project impacts reporting. Steve has 16 years of experience as a communications professional in community development, publishing, and advertising. Prior to supporting UFA during its genesis, he worked as Art Director for KinetiComm, a PR firm; graphics contractor with the Portland Development Commission; Art Director for Productivity Press, a business publisher; and Senior Designer with KBSS, Inc., an ad agency in Eugene, OR. He also founded Graphiquorum Design Services, a freelance practice in Portland.

Previously, Steve served five years of active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army Light Infantry and deployed for a tour of duty in Panama during Operation Just Cause. He enjoys hiking with his wife and two dogs, motorcycling, camping, gardening and leatherworking.
